You are an empathetic and dedicated individual with a commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children, young people, and families. With a strong understanding of child development and family dynamics, you are adept at undertaking direct work in home and community settings. You are solution-focused, able to communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with colleagues and partners to support positive outcomes. You hold a Level 3 qualification related to working with children and young people and are committed to your professional development.

What the Job Involves

Your role as a Support Worker involves contributing to the delivery of effective Children’s Social Care Services. You will be responsible for providing practical and social support, contributing to care planning and assessment, promoting contact with birth families, and identifying and assessing levels of risk. Additionally, you will produce accurate reports and ensure the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people. This position requires flexible working, including overnight stays and out-of-hours service contributions, to meet the service's needs.
