You have a strong understanding of data protection, freedom of information, environmental information regulations, and the General Data Protection Regulation. Your expertise allows you to handle information requests confidently and provide insightful advice on information security issues.
What the Job Involves
As an Information Governance Manager, you will support the Governance Manager and Head of Governance in managing information governance matters. Your responsibilities include handling Freedom of Information (FOI) and Environmental Information Regulation (EIR) requests, Data Protection subject access requests, and preparing for GDPR implementation. You will also be involved in developing policies and procedures, training staff, managing records and retention policies, and contributing to the development of the electronic document and records management system (EDRMS). Additionally, you'll support data quality initiatives, liaise with colleagues on information requests, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
