The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social work, specifically within the field of adoption. A comprehensive understanding of adoption regulations, legislation, statutory guidance, and processes is essential. You should be able to manage a diverse caseload where adoption is the planned outcome, maintaining a child-centered approach. Excellence in risk analysis, decision making, and upholding quality standards are crucial to success in this role.
What the Job Involves
You will work within the Family Finding Team of the Regional Adoption Agency in Merseyside, specifically focusing on fully understanding the needs of children and proactively seeking suitable adoptive families. Responsibilities include managing a caseload following policy and procedures, championing good practice to mitigate risks, and facilitating effective internal and external communication. Additionally, you will work on creating and maintaining Lifestory books for children and young persons, and conduct family finding activities through hybrid working (3 days on-site per week at the office base in Knowsley). This role is a minimum 3-month placement with a 35-hour working week.
