Job Title: Youth Support Worker (Universal ‘Safe Spaces’)

Who You Are

You have a commitment to working with young people and fostering their development in a supportive and inclusive environment. You possess a recognized Youth Work Qualification or are willing to obtain one. You are adept at building positive relationships with young people and have experience engaging with them individually and in groups. You understand the principles of youth work, equal opportunities, and safeguarding measures.

What the Job Involves

You will deliver and develop youth work sessions as part of the Young Tower Hamlets universal ‘safe spaces’ offer across the borough. Working with young people aged 11-19 years (extending up to 25 for those with special needs), you will provide safe spaces and educational activities, supporting them in reducing violence, vulnerability, and exploitation. You will engage in planning, evaluating, and co-producing safe spaces, ensuring inclusivity and equitable opportunities. A key part of the role includes evening and weekend work.
