What the job involves
As a Youth Support Worker for Young Tower Hamlets, you will deliver and develop youth work sessions as part of the universal ‘safe spaces’ initiative across the borough. You will engage with young people aged 11-to-19 (up to 25 with special educational needs) through group activities and one-on-one conversations. Responsibilities include planning, delivering, and evaluating programs, as well as referring youth to additional services when necessary. You ensure that youth work embraces inclusivity and diversity, adhere to council policies, and participate in ongoing professional development. The role requires primarily evening and weekend work.
