You are adept at fostering relationships with various stakeholders and possess an awareness of the equalities issues pertinent to Southwark. Your skills include delivering complex planning policy expertise, providing strategic advice, and managing projects effectively. You are ready to lead policy documents with a strong commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence.

What the Job Involves

As a Team Leader in Planning and Growth, you will provide expertise on planning policy for the Southwark Plan, foster effective working relationships with colleagues across London, and collaborate with local partners, transport, environment, and planning colleagues. You will have the chance to lead policy documents, coordinate project management of technical evidence base workstreams, and prepare reports. Additionally, you'll support the creation and implementation of planning policies and projects that align with the council's key objectives. Your responsibilities include overseeing strategic planning, advising on the statutory planning process, promoting service excellence, and supervising junior staff. The role is office-based in Central London with the flexibility for on-site visits and meetings.
