What the Job Involves

As an Occupational Therapist in the Countywide review team, you will work with adults aged 18 and upwards with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, acquired brain injuries, and chronic health conditions. Your role involves completing thorough strengths-based reviews, conducting mental capacity act assessments, and completing Continuing Health Care checklists and decision support tools. You will utilize your Occupational Therapy skills to develop and implement plans of support aimed at improving wellbeing and delivering outcomes through advice, information, assistive equipment, and recommendations for home adaptations. You will work collaboratively with adults, carers, colleagues, and other partners, ensuring interventions are recorded accurately and comply with best practice. You are expected to stay up-to-date with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, maintaining CPD.
