Senior Employee Relations Manager

Who You Are

You are an experienced HR professional with significant experience in advising and negotiating across all levels of management, staff, and unions. You hold a Chartered Membership with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) or possess equivalent qualifications and experience. You have a strong understanding of people management, organisational development, and employee relations casework management. Your ability to manage change, work collaboratively, and maintain a trusted and customer-focused service is paramount. You demonstrate excellent political and organisational awareness and are committed to continuous professional development.

What the Job Involves

The role involves managing the delivery of a customer-focused professional Employee Relations (ER) service aligned with the People Policy Framework. You will oversee and undertake complex employee relations casework, manage the ER team, and provide advice and guidance to ensure a balanced and professional service. You will work closely with Organisational Development Business Partners (ODBP) to set service standards, prioritize work, and engage additional support when needed. Additionally, you will support policy implementation, service delivery enhancements, project management, communication, and monitoring of business performance. You will also manage team resources and develop organizational policies to ensure continual service improvement.
