What the Job Involves
As a Public Protection Officer, your primary objective is to safeguard and enhance the health and wellbeing of residents and visitors within the Borough. You will be involved in conducting investigations into nuisance and public health issues such as noise, smoke, odour, light, drainage, refuse, and pests. Your role encompasses both routine office hours and out-of-hours services, requiring collaboration with various teams to ensure effective enforcement, resolution of complaints, and compliance with relevant legislation. You’ll assist in legal preparations, participate in public health initiatives, and contribute to projects aimed at service improvement.
