Role

Who You Are

You are an experienced professional in social work or probation services, committed to supporting young people in preventing offending and re-offending. Your role is rooted in delivering effective services to courts, young people, victims, and communities. You are familiar with relevant legislation and have a passion for working within a multi-agency framework to address the needs of young people and their families.

What the Job Involves

As a Probation Officer/Social Worker within Targeted Services for Young People, you will be responsible for conducting assessments, creating and coordinating intervention plans, and partnering with both statutory and voluntary services. Your duties will include preparing reports, developing and delivering individual and group programs, ensuring non-discriminatory practices, recording and maintaining accurate records, supporting families, supervising students, and staying informed about legislation and practice. You will work within performance management frameworks and adhere to the policies of Liverpool City Council.
