What the Job Involves

The role involves assisting the Chief Contracts Lawyer in supporting the Council's functions relating to contracts, procurement, and economic regeneration. You will manage a Contracts Lawyer, handle a personal caseload of complex contracts, provide legal advice, and ensure the implementation of Council decisions. You will stay informed of legal developments, draft reports, provide training, and ensure compliance with legal standards. You will also contribute to the council’s leadership, promoting positive cultural change and effective financial management.
