Who You Are
You are a highly motivated and experienced individual with significant experience in a residential child care setting, particularly in management roles. You hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care Services and are registered with Social Care Wales. You possess a positive outlook and effective management techniques, showcasing excellent leadership and communication skills. You are capable of implementing change and have experience in service development, negotiation, and mediation. Flexibility in working hours and being part of an on-call rota are necessary, and you must have a full driving license with sole access to a vehicle.
What the Job Involves
The role requires you to provide effective leadership and be accountable for the management of a respite children's home. You will ensure compliance with the home's Statement of Purposes and support children and young people to achieve positive outcomes. Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day activities, establishing effective working relationships with stakeholders, ensuring up-to-date policies, and maintaining a conducive environment for safe service delivery. You will also manage resources, staff performance, and contribute to performance management frameworks. Your work supports the principles of equality and the health and safety of all individuals involved.
