You are a proactive and detail-oriented individual with experience in providing first-point-of-contact services in diverse environments. You possess knowledge of administrative procedures within the environmental health & trading standards sector and have the ability to manage databases and perform financial tasks efficiently. You demonstrate a commitment to equality and diversity and possess strong communication skills.
What the Job Involves
You will provide both administrative and financial frontline services within the Environmental Health & Trading Standards Business Unit. Your responsibilities include managing databases, producing data reports, supporting financial systems, handling inquiries, and ensuring compliance with national guidelines. You will assist in the efficient operation of financial tasks using SAP and contribute to maintaining and improving standards of customer care and performance.
Skills
- Knowledge of administrative procedures and environmental health standards
- Experience with IT systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Explication of financial systems, ideally SAP
- Proficient in the use of Civica (APP) system
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively
- Experience with premises licensing (Licensing Act 2003)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
