Role

You are a dedicated professional with a solid understanding of child protection procedures. You possess the ability to manage and lead complex meetings and investigations, coordinate with multiple agencies, and provide quality assurance in child safeguarding. Your expertise in building efficient systems, auditing, and setting policy frameworks will be key in delivering effective child protection services.

What the Job Involves

The Child Protection Manager is responsible for managing and chairing Child Protection Conferences and Strategy meetings as per safeguarding procedures. Collaborating closely with the Head of Service, you will ensure effective systems for child protection work and quality assurance across teams. The role includes coordinating investigations into allegations against staff and volunteers, advising on child safeguarding matters, liaising with external agencies, and leading policy audit efforts. You will promote the participation of children, parents, and caregivers, and maintain quality standards through monitoring and evaluation. Additionally, the role involves working with IT systems, communicating effectively across various channels, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
