What the Job Involves

In this role, you will provide essential financial support and advice to budget managers, senior management, and external clients within North Yorkshire Council. As part of the Finance Team, you will work within a specialist team to deliver a range of financial services, assist in budget setting and monitoring, and analyse financial performance. You will contribute to business planning, promote standard working practices, and ensure professional financial standards. Without managing staff directly, you will supervise significant projects and collaborate with internal and external partners to enhance financial processes. You will play a key role in identifying income stream opportunities and supporting the Council's commercial agenda. The position requires hybrid working across multiple locations, including County Hall, other council offices, and from home.
