Role

Who You Are

You are a registered Social Worker with a passion for supporting vulnerable children. You possess up-to-date knowledge of key childcare legislation, guidance, and best practices related to child protection and support. You have a proven track record of completing assessments, reports, and plans for children identified as vulnerable or in need. A full driving licence is essential. You should have two DFE references and compliance certifications.

What the Job Involves

This role is integral to the Support and Safeguarding Service - Empowering Families, Protecting Futures. You will work with Wiltshire's children from pre-birth to age 18, as part of a team that has received an 'Outstanding' rating from Ofsted in September 2023. The job involves operating within a patch-based model to provide specialized support for families within your area of expertise. Your responsibilities include collaborating with safeguarding teams, attending weekly office meetings, and traveling across the county as needed.
