An individual with a passion for delivering excellent customer service, particularly in the context of public libraries and adult learning provisions. You have a strong understanding of how equality of opportunity influences service delivery in diverse, multicultural environments. Ideally, you possess experience in engaging with all customer demographics, especially children, and have an interest in library services and adult learning.
What the Job Involves
As a Customer Service Assistant at the Idea Store, you will be a primary point of contact, providing assistance, guidance, and solutions to customers in various formats. Your role includes maintaining high standards of library and information services, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contributing to daily operations. Responsibilities encompass welcoming visitors, promoting services, managing stock, and supporting both adult and children's programs. Additionally, you will assist in delivering the Customer Service Transformation Plan and ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations. You will also uphold the council's values, participate in outreach activities, and manage finances where necessary.
