A qualified Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS/FRICS) with significant experience in housing building maintenance, refurbishment, and contract management. You possess an in-depth knowledge of landlord/tenant matters, leaseholder consultation requirements, and contract dispute resolution. You excel in dealing with the public, resolving queries, giving advice, and effectively managing client/contractor relationships. You maintain a professional manner under pressure and have a strong commitment to delivering excellent standards of customer service.
What the Job Involves
As a Building Surveyor in the Task and Finishing Team, you will provide a specialist, comprehensive surveying and technical service for high-risk major works projects on Southwark’s social housing estates. You will conduct detailed reviews of feasibility studies, provide professional advice on project management, and oversee the repair, maintenance, and refurbishment of homes. Your role includes evaluating contract effectiveness, ensuring financial and audit compliance, compiling detailed reports, and maintaining customer-centered standards. The position involves engaging with internal and external stakeholders and participating in the TFT's specific audits of major works projects.
