What the job involves
Your role involves leading the Democratic Services team to deliver top-quality committee, member, and scrutiny services. You work closely with Councillors, the Monitoring Officer, Executive Directors, and others to ensure compliance with legislation and standards. You organize and manage democratic decision-making processes, develop effective scrutiny and governance functions, and lead member services. You also handle serious issues, manage performance, and provide guidance and advice to both internal and external customers. Additionally, you manage resources and budgets, and foster network relationships to enhance service delivery.
