Who You Are
You are an experienced Social Worker with extensive frontline experience working in children and families teams. You have successfully managed a statutory social work team, ideally within an assessment setting. You demonstrate confidence in making decisions relating to Child Protection matters and support your team in managing associated risks. Your goal is to ensure children's safety at home, in alignment with family and community connections.
What the Job Involves
As a Team Manager, you will provide direct line management to a team comprising 2 Assistant Team Managers and 6 Social Workers. Responsibilities include offering regular supervision to the Assistant Team Managers, who, in turn, supervise the Social Workers. You'll spearhead the team's efforts in conducting section 47 assessments/inquiries, assessments for care and support, and Child Protection case conferences. Furthermore, you will handle court-related matters, oversee care proceedings, and manage the PLO process in partnership with long-term support teams.
