As the Registered Manager for Children's Overnight Short Breaks, you are a dedicated care professional with a background in managing services for disabled children, nursing, social work, or a relevant profession. You have significant experience in staff management, budget oversight, and are fluent in English. You possess the resilience and strategic thinking necessary to drive service improvements. What the Job Involves
This role involves managing Canon's House, an eight-bedded home providing respite care for children with severe learning disabilities and complex health care needs. You will be responsible for ensuring a safe, nurturing environment for children supported by a team of care professionals. Your responsibilities include advising on policies, monitoring compliance with National Children Homes regulations, leading staff development, managing budgets, and ensuring high standards of care delivery. You will also oversee health and safety, engage with families and other agencies, manage staffing issues, and maintain effective communication channels throughout the service.
