Who You Are
A qualified and experienced Social Worker or AMHP, committed to improving mental health services. You are dedicated to working collaboratively with colleagues, service users, and carers, and possess a strong understanding of the relevant legislative frameworks. You are comfortable working within multidisciplinary teams, have experience with safeguarding in both adults and children, and are willing to adapt and work flexible hours when required.
What the Job Involves
The role of the Social Worker/AMHP involves assessing the needs of people with acute or enduring mental health problems, formulating and implementing care plans, and evaluating the effectiveness of the services provided. As an AMHP, you will conduct Mental Health Act assessments and participate in borough-wide rotas. You will collaborate with internal and external professionals to ensure coordinated service delivery and provide professional advice to less experienced staff while managing a complex caseload. Furthermore, you will contribute to budgeting, ensure welfare benefits are identified and met, participate in safeguarding investigations, and uphold equality and diversity policies.
