Who You Are

You are a dedicated individual with a commitment to supporting mortuary operations and assisting pathologists in delivering comprehensive mortuary activities. You handle the sensitive tasks associated with post-mortem examinations and support bereaved families with compassion and professionalism. You work under the Human Tissue Authority Licence and assist in ensuring all operations meet the legal and safety standards.

What the Job Involves

This onsite role involves taking responsibility for a range of mortuary activities, aiding in post-mortem examinations, and assisting in administrative duties related to the mortuary’s operations. You will facilitate formal viewings on behalf of HM Coroner and ensure respectful support for relatives. Additional responsibilities include participating in the out of hours service, maintaining compliance with safety policies, and staying informed about legislation and professional development. You will also ensure effective record-keeping and the continuous review and update of relevant databases.
