You live in the Plymouth City Council area and are flexible with your schedule to accommodate variable working hours. You find fulfillment in bringing support to others and are eager to gain experience while helping students get safely to and from their educational institutions.

What the Job Involves

The role involves accompanying children and young adults with special needs as they travel to and from school or college. You will provide cover for other Passenger Assistants during times when they are unable to work, which may require mornings, afternoons, or sometimes mid-day arrangements. You will have the chance to work in either a minibus or taxi and will receive training before taking on the assignments. Your responsibilities include ensuring the safety and well-being of the students during their journey. Be prepared for varied assignments covering both short-term and longer-term needs across Plymouth, Devon, and Cornwall.
