Who You Are
You are a dedicated professional with a relevant social work qualification and AMHP certification, with experience managing complex workloads in mental health services. You possess excellent verbal communication skills to interact with the public and are polite, courteous, and articulate in English. You demonstrate a deep understanding of current health policies and have a leadership capability to manage projects and supervise junior staff. Your problem-solving skills enable you to address risks effectively and your behavioral ethos aligns with Enfield's values of responsibility, openness, active listening, and collaboration.
What the Job Involves
- Providing statutory social work services to adults in emergency situations, especially outside regular office hours.
- Engaging in comprehensive risk assessments and personalized care management plans to support vulnerable adults and manage mental illness effectively.
- Coordinating assessments for potential hospital admissions under mental health legislation and promoting alternatives where appropriate.
- Working on out-of-hours duty rota for Emergency Duty Team, managing statutory duties under the Mental Health Act, Capacity Act, and Care Act.
- Actively participating in team and multi-agency meetings, contributing towards effective management of people and resources.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to all legal, regulatory, and confidentiality policies.
- Engaging in regular training and professional supervision to ensure competence and professional development.
