Who You Are

As a skilled Data Architect, you are committed to shaping the future of data architecture within the Town Planning department at Westminster City Council. You possess the ability to reverse engineer existing systems and design new data models that align with organizational goals. You excel in understanding workflows and data usage and bring valuable experience and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

What the Job Involves

In this role, you'll immerse yourself in the Town Planning department to gain a deep understanding of current workflows and data usage. Your key responsibilities include reverse engineering the existing IDOX Uniform system data model and designing future-state models that match ideal processes. You'll develop a comprehensive data dictionary, map data integration points and flows, document data lineage, and work on implementing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure alignment between data architecture and business processes is also critical.

Skills

  • Proven experience in data modelling (dimensional, data vault)
  • Strong understanding of system integration and data flow mapping
  • Experience with business process mapping
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
