As a Deputy Manager, you are a qualified Social Worker with HCPC registration and evidence of continued professional development. You possess in-depth knowledge of legislation, statutory guidance, and care management practice, especially in safeguarding, mental capacity, and deprivation of liberty. You have experience in managing complex cases, supervising staff, and working within multidisciplinary teams to promote service improvement. You demonstrate effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to developing and maintaining effective relationships with service users, their families, and professional partners.
What the Job Involves
This role involves co-managing a social work team dedicated to adults with learning disabilities, providing professional guidance and ensuring high-quality, customer-focused service delivery. You will manage complex cases, develop care packages, and supervise a team of social care practitioners, setting objectives and conducting performance appraisals. The Deputy Manager will support the smooth transition of cases, undertake risk assessments, lead service developments, and ensure value for money in care packages. You will also be responsible for staff training and development, quality assurance, and implementing best practices.
