Who You Are
You are a dedicated and experienced social work professional ready to fulfill the responsibilities set out by the Children Act 1989 and other relevant legislation. You are committed to supporting children in need of protection and those in care. You are someone who can work effectively under supervision, take on complex cases, and display high standards of professional practice.
What the Job Involves
This role involves assessing and providing services to children and families in need, ensuring efficient service delivery, and maintaining professional standards. Responsibilities include managing a caseload, acting as a duty social worker, making recommendations for financial expenditure, and promoting equal opportunities. You will also work closely with other divisions, N.H.S. trusts, schools, and external providers to coordinate services. Reporting to the Team Manager, you will influence team practice and contribute to training and development initiatives.
