Who You Are
As the Strategic Head of Service for Early Help, Targeted Support, MASH, and Youth Justice, you are an experienced strategic leader with a proven ability to direct and improve integrated services for children, young people, and their families. You possess extensive knowledge in safeguarding, particularly within multi-agency settings like the MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub), and have a commitment to co-production and strengths-based practices. With a strong background in youth justice, you are skilled in reduction strategies for reoffending and improving outcomes for vulnerable adolescents. Additionally, you are adept at maintaining effective partnerships and driving transformational change within complex environments.
What the Job Involves
The job involves leading and strategically directing the day-to-day delivery of children's services in Havering, including the Early Help Preventative services, the MASH, targeted youth support, and the Youth Justice Service. You will ensure that services are responsive, dynamic, and effectively meet the needs of children and families. The role requires providing oversight for safeguarding practices, managing cases with complex needs, and leading policy development affecting young people. Key responsibilities include managing multiple budgets, ensuring value for money, and maintaining high standards in social work practices. You will also liaise with multiple stakeholders, ensuring collaborative and effective service delivery.
