Who You Are

You are dedicated to providing advice and support on a range of issues, especially in preventing homelessness and improving housing conditions. You have experience working face-to-face with customers in stressful situations and possess strong negotiation skills. Adept at facilitating solutions in collaboration with partners, you actively engage with communities to address and solve local issues. You remain composed under pressure and demonstrate a commitment to equal opportunities.

What the Job Involves

As a Community Connections Officer, you will deliver advice and support to clients while working closely with Customer Services and other partners to ensure the needs of citizens are met. You will focus on preventing homelessness, resolving community issues, and managing temporary accommodations. Key activities include engaging with residents, conducting home visits, liaising with partners, and supporting community-based provision. You will represent the Council in multi-agency meetings and work on projects to prevent homelessness.
