You are an experienced occupational therapist with a recognized diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration. You have experience in adult social care or community-based OT services with strong assessment, communication, and decision-making skills. Known for your professional ethics and values, you are committed to promoting independence and enhancing the wellbeing and quality of life for people with disabilities. You are proactive, self-managing, and adept at working in multidisciplinary teams to deliver excellent client-centered care.
What the Job Involves
As an Occupational Therapist within Adult Social Care, you will undertake assessments for older adults with disabilities, and disabled children, adhering to the principles of the Care Act 2014. You will make recommendations concerning assistive technologies, equipment, adaptations, and housing solutions to facilitate independence and inclusion. Your responsibilities include conducting holistic assessments, providing professional guidance, quality assurance of cases, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care. Additionally, you will promote access to training, employment, and social opportunities while being involved in the design of facilities accommodating people with disabilities.
