Role

Who You Are

You are a dedicated and experienced Social Worker with a passion for safeguarding and empowering families. You have a proven track record of at least three years post-qualification experience (PQE) within direct employment with an English Local Authority and hold two Department for Education (DFE) references. You are familiar with current childcare legislation, guidance, and best practices, and you are committed to fostering positive outcomes for vulnerable children from pre-birth to age 18.

What the Job Involves

In this temp-to-perm role, you will be instrumental in supporting Wiltshire's children and young people within the Support and Safeguarding Service. You will be working within a patch-based model to deliver expert support and intervention for vulnerable families. Your role will involve completing assessments, reports, and plans for children in need. You will be expected to collaborate with safeguarding teams and operate flexibly across various work settings, including attending weekly office meetings and traveling throughout the county as required. Specifics of the role will be discussed during the interview.

Skills

  • Registered Social Worker with up-to-date knowledge of childcare legislation
  • Experience in safeguarding and supporting vulnerable children
  • Proficiency in completing assessments, reports, and plans
  • Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Full driving licence
