What the Job Involves
The role involves working in partnership with young people, their carers, and relevant agencies to deliver an integrated and holistic Personal Advisor and Aftercare Service. You will be responsible for coordinating and reviewing Pathway Plans, supporting young people to sustain accommodation, and advocating on their behalf. The job requires maintaining effective relationships with key agencies to ensure a coordinated multi-agency response to the needs of care leavers.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance (Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000, Children Act 1989)
- Experience with immigration and unaccompanied minors
- Effective communication and advocacy skills
- Ability to develop and maintain multi-agency relationships
- Proficient in planning and implementing Pathway Plans
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices
- Commitment to equality and anti-discriminatory practice
