Who You Are
We are looking for an arboricultural professional with a strong background in working in urban areas, particularly in conducting tree inspections, surveys, and diagnoses of tree defects/diseases. You should have a good working knowledge of tree legislation and tree decay detection equipment. You must possess excellent communication skills to engage with various stakeholders, such as Council officers, Councillors, Developers, Community groups, and the Public. A positive individual with personal drive and a desire to learn and improve will fit well in our team.
What the Job Involves
In this role, you will join a team of arboriculture officers leading the management and inspection of the Council’s tree stock. You will carry out risk management and provide specialist arboricultural advice. Your responsibilities include issuing works to our Contractor and In-house tree service. Additionally, you will be expected to handle a range of duties not directly related to arboriculture, including financial management, general administration, member’s enquiries, and contract management. We are also considering candidates for an Assistant Arborist role with less accountability, who will be supported by an experienced arboriculture officer.
