What the Job Involves
As a Business Support Officer, you will provide professional, customer-focused business support services within the Children’s Services Directorate. Your duties will include managing mailboxes, processing finances, handling data entry and archival, organizing meetings, and delivering caseload management. You will maintain and update IT systems to ensure data accuracy and support statutory returns. You will work flexibly across the service, managing a demanding workload to assist the Business Support Team Leader in meeting objectives. You will embrace new technologies to support service delivery and contribute to improvements in business processes.
You will be reporting directly to the Agency Advisor & Permanence Lead, providing administrative support to the Agency Decision Making process. Your role will involve planning, organizing, and minuting meetings, particularly in relation to early permanence and adoption processes, working closely with the Performance and Transformation team to maintain accurate records.
