Who You Are
As a Property Lawyer, you are an experienced legal professional with a strong background in conveyancing and property law. You are likely to be an admitted Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives with a right of audience in County Court proceedings, or soon to gain such a right. You possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and exhibit a "can do" attitude. You adapt well to changing demands, work constructively with others, and are committed to delivering quality legal services.
What the Job Involves
This role involves undertaking a full range of conveyancing work for the Council, including complex property acquisitions, disposals, and sales to Council tenants. You will deal with agreements and charges with housing associations, and handle correspondence related to easements, boundaries, restrictive covenants, and compulsory purchase orders. You are expected to manage cases in courts and tribunals, liaise with various internal and external parties, and work on special projects. Moreover, you will assist in developing functional area policies and foster continuous improvement in service delivery.
