You are a qualified property lawyer with a right of audience in County Court proceedings. You possess substantial experience in both residential and commercial property work, particularly within local government settings. A proactive problem-solver with excellent advocacy and communication skills, you demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and possess a positive, adaptive approach to work. You are capable of working to tight deadlines and collaborating effectively with team members at various levels.
What the Job Involves
This role involves undertaking complex conveyancing work for the Council, including large acquisitions and disposals, sales to tenants, and legal proceedings relating to compulsory purchases. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with legal standards, preparing necessary documents, and representing the Council at Courts, Tribunals, and Inquiries. Additionally, you will be expected to contribute to policy development and service improvement within the Housing and Property legal team, liaise with various internal and external stakeholders, handle compensation claims for displaced tenants, and complete any other tasks as directed by management.
