Who You Are

As a Property Lawyer, you will have strong communication skills, excellent advocacy abilities, and detailed knowledge of property and housing law. You bring recent experience in County and Magistrates' Court advocacy, with a history of managing both residential and commercial property work. You should either be an admitted Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives, with a right of audience in the County Court, or be on the cusp of gaining this right. You have a positive, "can do" attitude, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to continuous improvement and effective team collaboration.

What the Job Involves

The role requires conducting complex conveyancing work, managing acquisitions and disposals, and dealing with conveyancing for housing associations. You will undertake tasks necessary for Compulsory Purchase Orders, negotiate objections, and handle associated legal research and documentation. You will also appear on behalf of the Council in courts, manage resettlement and compensation for displaced tenants, and work on special legal projects. This position requires proactive financial and resource management, advising on policy development, and a focus on customer care to ensure high-quality service delivery.
