Job Description: Legal Clerk (Childcare)

Who You Are

You are educated to at least GCSE standard, including English and Maths. You bring experience in office systems, particularly within a legal setting, with at least six months of experience in an office environment. You display attention to detail, possess strong communication skills, and can prioritize tasks effectively under minimal supervision. You are committed to maintaining a customer-focused environment and are flexible, with the ability to travel for meetings as needed.

What the Job Involves

As a Legal Clerk within the Child Care Team, you will provide clerical and administrative support, primarily to the Child Care Team and other divisions as necessary. Your responsibilities include maintaining systems for interim orders in Care Proceedings, preparing legal documents, managing communications, maintaining diaries, and supporting case management systems. You will also assist in the preparation of documents, manage office procedures, and contribute to the Legal & Governance division's administrative support. Additionally, you will coordinate solicitor attendance and manage Child Protection Databases.
