Advanced Practitioner - Barnet

Who You Are

You are an experienced social worker with a substantial background in statutory Children Social Care settings. You possess the ability to work autonomously in complex situations while effectively managing higher levels of risk, and you have the capacity to support and mentor less experienced social workers. Your professional qualifications include registration with the HCPC and a recognised social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, CQSW). You either hold a Practice Educator qualification or are willing to acquire it within your first year of employment.

What the Job Involves

In this role, you will work within a Resilience framework to deliver a comprehensive and effective integrated social work service. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate safeguarding and permanence measures with high complexity. Your responsibilities include taking a lead role in specialist areas, supporting less experienced social workers, and maintaining up-to-date professional development. You will manage your caseload, produce detailed reports, and liaise with multi-agency partners to ensure positive outcomes for children. You will also contribute to the Workforce Development programme and engage in research initiatives.
