You possess significant experience as a Solicitor of England and Wales, a Barrister, or a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, meeting all relevant professional standards. Your understanding of the law in relation to vulnerable groups and education equips you to provide expert legal services aligned with council objectives. Demonstrating continuous professional development, you are adept at building productive relationships with stakeholders and possess a strong commitment to equal opportunities and compliance with the council’s policies.

What the Job Involves

As an Adults Social Care Lawyer, you will deliver high-quality legal services, offering cost-effective guidance to various council bodies. Managing a caseload independently, you'll draft legal documents, prepare cases for courts, and present when necessary. Collaborating with senior leaders, you'll provide strategic legal advice on new legislation and its implications for council activities. Creating reports and handling legal correspondence will be crucial, as will coordinating research and client training. You'll ensure adherence to legal standards, striving for continuous improvement and responsiveness in legal services.
