You are an experienced professional with a strong background in housing advice, homelessness, and tenancy relations. You possess excellent leadership abilities and have successfully managed diverse teams and services. You have demonstrated a capacity to work effectively in complex environments, think strategically, and develop innovative solutions. You are committed to delivering excellent customer service, particularly to vulnerable populations, and have substantial experience in engaging with multicultural communities and urban settings.

What the Job Involves

The role of Housing Needs Lead involves managing and developing a team of Housing Needs Officers to deliver high-quality housing advice and homelessness services. You will work to prevent and resolve homelessness through the management of cases, contributing to the council’s housing strategy and objectives. You will lead your team to provide effective enforcement and prevention action, manage the homeless prevention fund, and ensure compliance with current housing legislation and policies. You will also be involved in building and maintaining partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, representing the service within the council, and acting as a reference for complex cases.
