You are a highly experienced professional, educated to at least a degree level in a relevant field, with significant experience working in a demand-led, client-facing environment. You possess a comprehensive understanding of housing policies and strategies including the Housing Act 1996, and are skilled in managing complex casework and budgets. Your strong negotiation, influencing, and communication skills enable you to work effectively with a range of partners and stakeholders.
What the Job Involves
In this role, you will provide expert advice, conduct complex casework, and represent the Local Authority in high-profile situations. You will proactively lead and manage the Housing Options and Homeless Prevention service, aiming to prevent homelessness and ensuring residents have access to suitable housing. Your responsibilities include service delivery, strategic improvement initiatives, financial management, and stakeholder communication. You will also lead projects, develop procedures, manage budgets, and contribute to cross-service strategies and improvements.
