You are a qualified Solicitor of England and Wales, Barrister, or CILEX with substantial legal experience in areas involving adult social care and safeguarding. You possess excellent oral and written communication skills, a solid understanding of case management and client care, and a collaborative spirit for working with internal and external stakeholders to deliver the Council's legal strategies. You are committed to making a real contribution to the quality of life and sustainability of the borough.
What the Job Involves
The role of Lawyer (Adults Safeguarding) involves providing a comprehensive legal service across the Council, focusing on adult social care work. You will manage a legal caseload with a specific concentration on areas such as Court of Protection proceedings, DOLs, safeguarding, and adult social care. You will also provide legal advice and advocacy, prepare reports, and support both managerial teams and colleagues within Legal Services. The role requires at least two days of office attendance per week, with potential for increased in-office time during probation to facilitate learning.
