Who You Are

You are a qualified and compassionate Forensic Social Worker with a strong understanding of mental health issues and the criminal justice system. You are committed to helping individuals with mental disorders navigate the legal process and integrate back into society safely and effectively. You have the necessary qualifications to be on the Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) rota and are prepared to contribute to a multi-disciplinary team.

What the Job Involves

This role requires working closely with mentally disordered offenders to assess their needs and devise appropriate intervention strategies. You will be part of the AMHP rota, conducting mental health assessments under the Mental Health Act and coordinating with other professionals to facilitate the best outcomes for individuals. Your work will involve preparing reports, attending court proceedings if necessary, and advocating for the needs and rights of individuals in the mental health and criminal justice systems.
