Who You Are

A motivated and experienced Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) with a deep understanding of the legislative frameworks related to mental health and adult social care. You have excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills and are able to work effectively in multi-disciplinary environments, providing professional guidance and support to colleagues. You possess a strong commitment to delivering person-centered and community-focused mental health services and can effectively manage complex cases and crises. Your strategic thinking, passion for making a difference, and positive, "can-do" attitude inspire others and drive continuous improvement in service delivery.

What the Job Involves

As an AMHP for the Adult Mental Health Hub, you will conduct Mental Health Act Assessments on behalf of Hillingdon Council, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and local authority procedures. You will coordinate with individuals with complex care needs, develop support plans, and ensure maximizing choice and independence. This position requires you to provide expert advice, professional supervision, and leadership to social workers and team managers while acting as an organizational expert. In the Out of Hours hub, you'll manage mental health crisis assessments and adult social care emergencies on a 24-hour rolling rota, working collaboratively with a range of partners and agencies and ensuring service efficiency and effectiveness.
