Who You Are
We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused HR & Recruitment Officer to join our team at Sutton College. You will provide essential administrative support to the Employee Relations Manager and the wider management team, contributing to the smooth and efficient operation of the HR function.
What the Job Involves
- Provide generalist HR administrative support to the Employee Relations Manager and wider HR team.
- Contribute to the effective day-to-day running of the College's HR function.
- Assist in providing a high-quality HR service to staff, ensuring all advice and support is aligned with College policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records within the College's HR systems, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Lead on the College Single Central Register database ensuring full compliance and reporting to the senior management team weekly on updates and risks.
- Handle the full recruitment process for all roles within the College.
- Create and update job vacancies on internal and external platforms.
- Screen applications and shortlist candidates.
- Arrange and support interviews and conduct pre-employment checks for new staff, including DBS checks.
- Support the onboarding of new employees and assist with payroll processes.
- Produce and analyze regular HR reports to identify trends and inform decision-making.
- Support the Employee Relations Manager with various projects and initiatives.
- Respond to day-to-day HR queries and provide administrative support for interviews and meetings.
- Participate in continuous professional development and appraisal schemes.
