What the Job Involves
As an Occupational Therapist in the Integrated Learning Disabilities Service, you will:
- Conduct occupational therapy assessments and identify occupational performance deficits.
- Work with clients, relatives, and carers to set occupational therapy goals as part of an overall care plan.
- Implement individual and group interventions using graded activities to achieve therapeutic goals.
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team and external service providers to ensure coordinated care delivery.
- Communicate effectively with clients and carers, addressing barriers to understanding and engagement.
- Participate in training and education for students and staff, contributing to the development of occupational therapy services.
