Who You Are
You are a compassionate and experienced Support Worker with a background in working with adolescents, particularly those who present challenging behavior. You have experience collaborating with carers and working as part of a team. You are adaptable and willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. A valid driving license and access to a reliable car are essential, and you must have an Enhanced Child and Adult DBS.
What the Job Involves
The role involves working within Cardiff’s experienced team to provide flexible and responsive care packages aimed at supporting adolescents aged 11-17. You will engage in structured, evidence-based interventions to help families develop problem-solving skills and resilience. The aim is to assist families in crisis by providing rapid response support, which will help prevent family breakdown and further escalation. This involves providing respite, outreach, intervention, and family support services both at the homes of young people and at our centers in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.
