What the Job Involves
As the Data Protection Officer, you will independently guide the organization to meet GDPR principles, ensuring the responsible, secure, and lawful processing of personal data. Reporting to the Head of Legal Practice and Compliance, you will advise the Council and schools on data protection matters, lead investigations into data breaches, and engage with internal and external stakeholders. Your role includes developing a data protection culture, maintaining risk registers, and producing compliance reports. You'll also lead data protection training programs, oversee data processing activities, and ensure adherence to legal requirements and retention policies.
