While a driving license is advantageous, your capability to perform heavy manual labor and deliver high standards of customer service is essential. You have formal knowledge of operational health and safety practices and the drive to ensure compliance with environmental legislation.
What the Job Involves
Your primary responsibility is to ensure the city and local environment are clean and properly maintained. This includes waste and recycling collection from residential and business properties and public spaces. You will carry out grounds maintenance, attend to spillages and split bags, and safely remove hazardous substances while adhering to health and safety standards. Reporting unsafe practices, cleaning assigned areas, and maintaining compliance with proper waste disposal and recycling guidelines are key parts of your role.
